@Tarclasp As it was, it was Fred Franz (and yes I have met him too) that succeeded Knorr. Knorr knew there was something wrong when he had difficulty holding a pen or any object & would? at times drop it. It was a brain tumour. But this was some YEARS after Ted joined GB. So somebody has concocted some kind of conspiracy theory that has nothing to do with the facts. I *KNOW* because I was there and had discourse with the many parties to what happened. And I am not spouting malicious lies.

@Tarclasp In those days the GB and the directorship was one and same. What Knorr did (and I was THERE in person when he in PERSON explained to us) that they had decided to change that and the reasons. Under law a? directorship was subject to CAESAR, in that the directorship could actually be dismissed by a political government. The WT directorship is still operating under that legal 'system.' So the GB was made separate to the directorship and not longer subject to Caesar, but to Christ.

That sort of thing has to be the product of a sick mind (there are a few of those around, sad to say). And Knorr was not a vengeful person at all. Neither was Ted.

@Tarclasp Ted spent a lot of time in Australia and I lived not far from Strathfield here in Sydney. I am now 60 and I was in my 20s at the time. We all knew Ted quite? well and anybody could go and talk to him - he often visited local congregations, ours too, and gave talks like other brothers would (even me) and you could certainly go up to him afterwards - or if there was anybody new there and they wanted to query anything that was said, that not only was allowed but also welcomed.
